Much talk and discussion about the impending convention of Government Secondary School Afikpo Alumni – GSSA WORLD Con’08 has started like a “wild fire in the Spring”! With expected attendance at all time high this year, many Old Boys are beginning to pack their bags quite early in earnest. Excitement about this year’s convention is spurred by a variety of factors – high anticipation of nostalgic alumni reunion; rising cost of airline tickets; possible hotel accommodation limitation and early registration encouragement from GSSAAA, to convention goers. As a result of the high cost of fuel for airplanes, traveling alumni to the convention, their friends and families are advised to start their early search for airline ticket discounts, before it becomes cost prohibitive.
