THE BIG ONE: THE REBUILDING AND RESTORATION OF IBIAM HOUSE

This is the big one. Absolutely. And I will tell you why.

In the years before Nigeria went mad, the name Ibiam (you did not need any other identifiers or modifiers for people to know whom you were talking about) …. The name Ibiam was synonymous with probity and integrity. The man was a living saint.

Dr. Akanu Ibiam should have a special place in the heart of everyone who went to GSSA.. Why? One simple reason: Dr. Akanu Ibiam was the founder of GSSA.

Restoration of Ibiam House

As soon as the restoration of School House is completed, we plan to move on to the reconstruction and restoration of Ibiam House, another one of the nine boarding houses of GSSA and the one named for the founder of the school, the late Dr. (Sir) Francis Akanu Ibiam, the former Governor of Eastern Nigeria. This project is estimated to cost N11,838,000.00 which is roughly $80,000.00.
